The Old man gently smiled at me and made a move. Next day, as soon as I got up, my friend eagerly enquired whether I had any Holy Dream. I said him that the dream will not fulfil if i say it before brushing. He asked me about my dream after brushing. I told him that I will say it at temple. After the rituals to be performed after Sankalp Seva, My friend again reminded me about my dream. I told him that I would say it to the Old man whom we had met, the previous evening. He agreed. We started searching him. But, We could not trace him anywhere. We searched every nook and corner of Mantralaya,but,could not trace him anywhere. We went to the shop where we bought the dhoti to enquire about the whereabouts of the Old man. The shopkeeper replied that He had never seen that old man in Mantrlaya before. Another information told by him was a huge surprise for me. It seems that the dhoti purchased by the old man was very lengthy. The whole Brindavana could be wrapped by that dhoti. It seems such dhoti was available only with him in Mantralaya. Without even a small doubt, I came to know that the Old man who spoke with us on previous evening was nobody other than Sri Raghavendra. I recalled the sentence said by the Old man before leaving, 'Your works will be useful to Mankind in future.' With a miraculous experience, We returned to Chennai.

You are also a devotee of Mangadu Amman. You have named your publications on her name. What is the story behind?

As soon as returning to Chennai, I was doing my regular office work. A colleague of mine told me about Mangadu Amman temple (Mangadu is a famous pilgrim centre near Chennai). I decided to visit the temple continuiously for Six weeks with him. When I went there for the first time, My friend explained me about his pathetic life. He uttered the words, 'Anaadhai naan Adharippai amma..' (I am an Orphan. You have to take care of me.) on seeing the Goddess. I took that as the first sentence and composed a devotional song. Likewise, I composed six songs on six weeks. We used to sing that songs in Temple. People enquired us about the songs.I used to reply that it had been written by me. They suggested me to publish the song collection as a booklet. Though I had an affinity towards books, I had no prior experience in publishing. Also, I had no investment to do so. Later with the support of few of my office clients, I managed to get advertisements and published a small booklet called, 'Mangaadu Amman Arusuvai.' The response was overwhelming. That marked the beginning of Arulmigu Amman Pathipagam. I brought out many such books on Amman and other deities. In the year 1982, My younger sister told me that she had a dream. It seems,in that dream an Old Sanyasi asked her, Why her brother didn't bother to write a book on Sri Raghavendra. I wrote a small book on the life history of Sri Raghavendra. By then, I started my research work to write Rayaru's life history in detail. The book, 'Sri Raghavendra Mahimai - First volume' was completed in the year 1985. It was published with the Monetary Support of Tirumala Tirupathy Devasthanam (TTD). The book got a Great applause from the devotees. So far, I have written 7 volumes of this book. I am currently working on the eighth volume by the grace of Sri Raghavendra.

Doing extensive research and writing several volumes of books requires more investment,in terms of Time, energy and Money. How do you face it?

Unlike some of the authors, Each and every sentence written in my book has enough evidences. I myself write it manually. I don't depend on proof readers to check the errors in these books. I myself do Proof reading. So that, I could assure that these books would be free from factual errors. In case, If the evidence I have, is not sufficient to write an episode, I would plead to Sri Raghavendra Swamigalu to show me a Right path. Sri Raghavendra Swamigalu has never let me down. I would humbly say, I invest maximum time and energy in doing research for writing these books. I invest several lakhs to bring out a single volume of Sri Raghavendra Mahimai. People reading these books come forward to donate for publishing these books. I have had declined the offer. I would proudly say that I have never accepted donations from public to carry on my Research works, for the fear that I might need to compromise on facts written,if I accept donations.

Can you explain about your dream project Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya?

Books written by Sri Raghavendra are most powerful. The Main agenda of Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya is to spread the Greatness of Granthas (books) written by Sri Raghavendra, his moolaguru Sri Madhwacharya and his disciples. I told you that, though People are ready to donate for My research works, I never accept the donations. Even then, Sometimes, People force me to accept the donations. So, I thought of starting a trust and accept donations through proper channel. We registered a trust by name, Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya Seva & Educational Charitable trust, (Reg. No. 977/2008). It was officially launched on December 31,2008 at Sri Raghavendra Swamy mutt at Aynavaram,in Chennai. The Main agenda is everyone should have easy access to Great Granthas written by Sri Raghavendra Swmaigalu and those who have come on his Peeta. Funds Collected from publishing those Granthas will again goes to the trust for similar activities and various others too…We have acquired a land at Outskirts of Chennai to construct this Granthalaya. We have plans to Construct "Dyana Mantapa". We are planning to Establish Gurukulam, Vedha Padasalai and Educational Institution.

We will be constructing and managing Old age Homes. We will be building a Library and Start publishing a Magazine in regular interval of time. We plan to Produce and shoot Audio/Video Series on Sri Guru Raghavendra and other Theerthas.

Annadhana will be made on various specific/Special days. We have a plan to build Garba Graha (Sanctum Sanctorum) of Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya with his Granthas. Granthas will be installed at the base of the Sanctum Sanctorum. Those Granthas will have over 10 Million “Om Sri Raghavendraya Namaha:” and “Poojaya Raghavendraya” Slokhas written and Contributed by the devotees of Sri Guru Raghavendra. Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya will sell a special type of Notebook to write those Slokhas. Income generated out of that will be converted as Fund and again injected to the Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya.

We will be helping people who aspire in Education and Art but Economically not sound enough. We will Honor Scholars and Pundits. News and Information regarding "Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya" would be published along with the "Sri Raghavendra Mahimai"/"Sri Raghavendra Saint of Mantralaya" book. We will request/ encourage other publishers to publish Information/News regarding "Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya” out of their own interest. We have formed many commities like, Advisory Committee, Publishing committee, Education Committee, Art Committee, Advertising Committee, Financial Committee, Public Relations Committee, Law Committee, Research Committee, Official Committee etc... This is the temple we all should join our hands and build for Sri Guru Raghavendra. We are looking forward for your service both Physical and Financial. You also can donate to “Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya” through Cheque or DD, M.O. in the name of "Sri Raghavendra Granthalaya Seva & Educational Charitable Trust". We also accept donation in person. Please accept my sincere obeisances. I After reading the wonderful holy epic THE HIDDEN GEMS IN SUNDARA KANDA I browsed the internet to know about you . Its great feeling to know about the abundant grace of LORD ..

The reading of the holy epic has kindled the interest to visit all the holy places connected to SHRI RAMA and I shall be starting from Ayodhya to Srilanka . I was able to gather informaton from few books and Internet .
However its the blessings and guidance from your holiness which will make my pilgrimage more successful .
Please guide me more about the holy places to be visited in HAMPI and tamilnadu related to SRIMAD RAMAYANA

Many Pranams to you.I am reading the book The saint of Mantrlayam.I am so happy and tears rolled to read when you god darshan of raghavendra swami and he himself explained about His life and miracles.
Please bless me as I am like your son to be fit to receive the grace of Raghavendra and Have His Darshan !.I am very devoted to Lord Rama and May Raghavendra bless me with pure devotion towards Him and Lord Rama.
